My Birthday!
Yesterday was my birthday. And I have been in a great mood ever since. I know what you're thinking. What do you have to be so happy about? You're getting older. You still don't have kids. You're life is not progressing how you expected. All of these things are totally true. But I have a lot to be thankful for, too. I have a family that loves me. I don't have many friends, but the ones I have I cherish deeply. I have my books, and the awesomely successful book blog I have recently become a contributor for. And I'm starting on IVF #2. I just started my birth control pills on Monday. I'm posting an IVF #2 page. Oh, and I have insurance this time that'll pay for IVF #2. I have been smiling for the past 2 days. Oh, and my wonderful husband took me to a wonderful dinner, and is taking my to Vegas on Jan 28th! I love this birthday :-) Go team2012!

Yay! It's lovely to see such a positive post. We can all get overwhelmed at times when things don't go to plan, but you've just given us a great reminder that we should take a moment to be thankful for all the amazingly positive things that surround us in life.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday for yesterday - and have fun in Vegas! That's where I spent my b'day last year, and we renewed our wedding vows with Elvis the day after my birthday. SUCH a fun place!!

ReplyDeleteAli- Thanks! I don't know what came over me but I just feel like all of the bad stuff isn't important, and the good stuff is overwhelming. I wish this feeling on everyone :-) Another reason we're going to Vegas (besides that its cheap) is that it was the first place Mr. L and I ever vacationed together, and its where he told me he loved me. Right in front of the Belagio fountain show. :-)
